How to delete your data from Novara.chat Meta integrations (WhatsApp Business & Instagram)

1. What Data We Store from Meta

When you connect WhatsApp Business or Instagram to Novara.chat, we store the following data:

• Connection details: Meta Business ID, account names, connection status
• WhatsApp phone numbers: Phone number IDs, display numbers, verified names
• Instagram accounts: Instagram usernames, profile information, linked Facebook page details
• Message logs: Conversation history between your chatbot and users (message content, timestamps, delivery status)
• Session data: Chat session metadata for analytics

Note: Meta access tokens are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM encryption. We do not store tokens in plaintext.

2. How to Request Deletion

Method 1: In-App Settings (Recommended)

1. Log in to your Novara.chat account
2. Go to Integrations in the sidebar
3. Find the Meta integration you want to remove and click Disconnect
4. Confirm the disconnection when prompted

This immediately removes the integration and all associated WhatsApp numbers and Instagram accounts.

Method 2: Delete Your Entire Account

To delete all your data from Novara.chat, including Meta integrations:

1. Go to Account Settings
2. Navigate to the Data & Privacy section
3. Click Delete Account
4. Confirm the deletion

This permanently deletes ALL your data, including chatbots, conversations, bookings, and integrations.

Method 3: Email Request

You can also request data deletion by sending an email to support@novara.chat with the following information:

• Subject: "Meta Data Deletion Request"
• Your account email address
• Meta Business ID or phone number (if requesting deletion of specific integration)

We will process your request and confirm deletion within 48 hours.

4. Remove Novara from Facebook Apps & Websites

To completely revoke Novara.chat's access to your Meta accounts:

1. Go to Facebook Settings > Apps and Websites
2. Find "Novara.chat" in the list of active apps
3. Click Remove
4. Confirm the removal

This revokes our access tokens and prevents any future data access from your Meta accounts.

5. Check Deletion Status

If you received a confirmation code from a Meta-initiated deletion request, you can check the status at /data-deletion/status.
